SkyCast Weather Radar is designed to show local weather forecasts, radar-style weather context, saved cities, and optional weather alerts.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, sell, rent, or share personal data. The app does not include advertising, third-party analytics, account registration, or cross-app tracking.

Location

Location access is optional. If you allow location access, the app uses your device location to request local weather forecasts and nearby weather conditions. You can use the app without location access by searching for or managing cities manually.

Location preferences and saved city information are stored locally on your device.

Weather Data

Weather forecast data is provided by Apple WeatherKit. Weather requests may be handled by Apple according to Apple's applicable terms and privacy practices.

Notifications

If you enable weather alerts or rain notifications, the app asks for notification permission and schedules local notifications on your device. Notification preferences are stored locally.

Local Storage

The app uses local device storage, including UserDefaults, to remember settings such as units, saved cities, animation preferences, notification preferences, and whether onboarding has been completed.
